CS Lewis Book Cover
Re-Design
The inspiration for this project was my love of both reading and illustration. CS Lewis has had a deep impact in my own life and how I think, so I thought it was appropriate to work on redesigning covers for his books. A book cover is meant to encapsulate a book without telling the reader of how it ends.

When designing the series, the colors were one of the first things to fall into place. The first book cover that I designed was "The Screwtape Letters" which as a collection of letters between demons, naturally led me to red. After that, the other books quickly had colors paired with them. For his book "Miracles" I chose yellow given its connotations with science and intellectualism and for "Mere Christianity" green seemed natural given its connotations of growth.
